F1 Onboarding

Congratulations on your admission to Central Piedmont! 

Attendance at the F-1 student onboarding session is required. During the session, we will cover important topics related to your F-1 status, classes, academic expectations and employment. 

However, you are not required to attend this session if any of the following apply to you:

• You have already attended this session before.
• You have applied for a change of status and have not yet received a response from USCIS.
• You will be outside the United States as of January 6, 2027.
• You have deferred your application to Fall 2027.

Please remember to bring paper copies of the following documents with you to the session:

• Your Visa
• Your most recent I-94
• Your Form I-20

Bringing paper copies of these documents will help our check-in process move efficiently. All students — Transfer, Change of Status, and New — will receive new I-20s within the first two weeks of classes. We look forward to meeting you!
