Central Campus: Conference Confidence: what to expect and how to connect!
Description
Thinking about attending a professional conference but not sure what to expect? You're not alone! Join Career Services and Student Life for a fun, welcoming workshop designed to help you feel prepared, confident, and ready to make the most of the experience.
We'll cover the basics of conference success, including what to wear, how to make a great first impression, and what networking really looks like (hint: it's not as scary as it sounds!). You'll also create and practice a short elevator pitch in a supportive, low-pressure environment so you can feel comfortable introducing yourself to employers, professionals, and fellow students.
Along the way, you'll learn about valuable campus resources that can help you continue building your professional presence, including support for professional attire, headshot opportunities, and other career readiness services.
Whether this is your first conference or your tenth, you'll leave with new skills, greater confidence, and practical tools to help you put your best foot forward.
Please make sure to arrive at least 5 minutes early for this event to check-in!
Registration is encouraged through Handshake.
